Not covered - tanks damaged by acts of God, explosion, fire, flood, storm and hurricane. This insurance does not cover any loss of oil. This guarantee covers only the tank and does not cover any labor, fittings, gauges, oil lines, filter housings, or fill pipes.

Buried Tank Notice:
Due to the high cost of pollution liability insurance, we can no longer repair buried tanks. We will replace a buried tank with a standard 275 gallon steel tank in your basement.
Your tank insurance policy now reads as follows:

For the sum of $35.98 per year, we guarantee to replace any leaking buried tank, due to internal corrosion, with a conventional, above ground, 275 gallon steel oil tank in the location of your choice. This guarantee will include the emergency installation of a temporary tank to insure a continued oil supply.

Not covered - tanks damaged by acts of God, explosion, fire, flood, storm, and hurricane. This insurance does not cover any loss of oil or pollution liability resulting therefrom. It does not cover the removal, disposal, or filling in, if necessary, of the leaking tank. Installation of new oil lines, gauge, fill, and vent pipes are not included but will be installed at prevailing rates. Tanks replaced by another contractor.

AUTOMATIC DELIVERY - It is our responsibility, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to maintain the oil level in your tank at intervals determined by us, using the degree day method.

WILL CALL - You must notify us to make a delivery. If you run out of oil after 4:00 p.m. and before 8:00 a.m., Monday-Friday, all day Saturday, Sunday and Holidays, you will be charged an additional fee of $50 per delivery. Therefore, it is necessary to anticipate your needs. This fee does not apply to automatic delivery customers.

The Degree Day Method is dependent on past usage. If there is any change, especially due to construction or increased demand, please notify the business office at once.

Helpful Hints:
Any building that is unoccupied during periods of below freezing weather especially accompanied by high winds is subject to severe damage should the heating system fail or the thermostat temperature be set too low. Sometimes this damage may exceed the loss caused by a fire! We strongly recommend that you have a functional heat monitor device that can emit a signal to warn of low temperature inside the building. These devices are inexpensive and are available from the business office.

Press the reset button ONLY ONCE! If the burner does not fire after one try, do not press the button again. Call the service department. Repeated pressings of the reset button create the risk of fire and explosion.

Warning - Do not leave your house unattended during severe cold snaps. Especially if you have had a recent service call. Your system may go down again. Do not rely on a person to check your house. The system can freeze between cycles or your domestic pipes can freeze. Use an electronic monitor. These are available for a modest fee from most retailers or us. Please heed this warning.

Beware of oil lines buried in concrete. They can fail without warning. The result is the entire contents of an oil drum in the ground. We are not responsible for failed oil lines. Homeowners with steam heat should flush low water cutoff weekly.
